OUR STORY
It was in 1961 when a predominant dealership in Edmonton, now known as Don Wheaton Cadillac on Whyte, through GM, presented Donald Wheaton Sr full control to run the facility and operations.
From early on, the Wheaton family and name comes with a lineage of success spanning now over 10+ dealerships across Western Canada in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
Amongst excellence in the dealership industry, The Wheaton Group of Companies has achieved recognition as a distinguished and successful brand expanding into niche markets such as banking, aviation, finance, and eventually insurance products.
With the expansion into insurance, Millennium Insurance, headquartered in Sherwood Park Alberta, was incorporated in 1998 and established two divisions. The warranty division provides credit life and disability insurance along with extended warranties for automobiles and RVs, while our Property and Casualty commercial division which was launched in 2010 focuses primarily on underwriting and serving commercial insurance needs across Canada.
The success of our commercial division in underwriting P&C business at Millennium Insurance demonstrates our resilience in various market conditions over the years, as well as our ability to adapt and remain agile amongst continuously evolving products, landscapes, and business functions. We remain nimble, driven by an entrepreneurial approach as we continue expanding into new lines of commercial sectors across Canada, while maintaining and upholding the highest standards of practice in line with our core values.
